The American Baptist Women of Brenner Heights Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 8. A Mother’s Day breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 11.

First Presbyterian Church will hold Bible study at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, in the parlor. Lunch will be provided. Join this caring and sharing group for study and fellowship.

Grandview Christian Church will hold a concert with Bruce Trent, a country Gospel singer and songwriter at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.

Grandview United Methodist Church will hold a Spring Fling starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15. The main attraction will be Russ Hemphill, a black chalk artist and singer. Lunch will be catered by HyVee following the program. Reservations are required and the $6 ticket may be purchased from any church member on or before May 12.

Immanuel Baptist Church will hold men’s and women’s prayer meetings at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, and at this same time on following Wednesdays.

The senior adults of Judson Baptist Church will meet at noon on Tuesday, May 20. Bring a sack lunch. The dessert and drinks will be provided.

Parkway Baptist Church will hold revival services at 11 a.m. on May 11 with Dr. Alan Tomlinson, contributor to the Holman Study Bible, as speaker. Free nursery care is provided for ages birth through 3 years of age.

Those attending St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, May 11, are encouraged to wear red in observance of Pentecost, which marks the completion of the Easter season.

Stony Point Christian Church will hold a Mother/Daughter Banquet at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9, in the church Fellowship Hall. The theme for this year’s banquet will be “A Legacy of Loving Across Generations: Naomi and Ruth.”

Trinity United Methodist Church will celebrate Mother’s Day with a special audio-visual tribute during the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, May 11. Mothers and grandmothers who have passed away will be remembered in the video.

Victory Hills Baptist Church will recognize graduates from the church family as well as Sunday School teachers during the 10:25 a.m. worship service on Sunday, May 18.

The youth of Victory Hills Church of the Nazarene will hold a hot dog eating contest along with a worker auction at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31. All funds raised will be applied toward sending young people to Nazarene Summer Church Camp. Please contact the church at 913-299-4662 to sponsor a contestant in the hot dog contest. Attend and purchase a worker for spring cleaning.

The Esther Circle of Zion United Church of Christ will meet at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 19.
